How do I find my vent?

Walk around the outside of the house on the laundry-room side and look for a 4-inch hooded cap with a flap. Run the dryer: the flap should move and you'll feel warm air. If there is no cap on any wall and your laundry is upstairs, look at the roof for a small gray or black hood about the size of a coffee can. Full guide with pictures →
